ScriptMaker Tutorial

The [Delete] Page

Like the [Run] page, the [Delete] page consists of two identical parts. In this case the top part relates to extra files which are to be deleted during uninstallation. This could typically include files such as .ini files created by your program. The bottom section relates to files which are to be deleted as the first stage of the installation. This might include, for example, the deletion of files from an earlier version which are no longer required.

The [Delete] Page (top half)

The Type field can be Files in which case the filename in the next field is a particular file, or a number of files selected using wildcards. If Type is set to Files and/or Dirs then the filename can also match directories as well as files. With the Dir. if empty type the filename must be that of a particular directory (and cannot include wildcards) which will be deleted only if it is empty.

Add and delete files in the usual way using the Add and Delete buttons. Double-click the grid to edit an entry.
